On Tuesday 20 December 2022, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) organised the first info day of the European project "Computing Power goes Green_GoGreen".
During the info-day, the participants were informed about the project, its actions and its expected results. The term "twin transition" was explained and the importance of upgrading the digital sector in order to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions was highlighted. In addition, the pilot actions in Cyprus were presented, especially those regarding the digital and energy upgrade of CCCI's building. Also, the Study on Policies & Regulatory Framework in Cyprus and the Report on the current situation per sectors of economic activity in Cyprus that were prepared by the Research Centre KIOS of the University of Cyprus were presented. Finally, it was mentioned that after the end of all the pilot actions in Cyprus, a new workshop / info-day will be organised, in order to present all the equipment and the recorded energy savings that will occur in the building of CCCI.
